How It Works
The Bail Bond Process
Five clear steps from your first call to release — and beyond.
- 01
Call Pro Bail Bonds 24/7
Reach a licensed agent any time. Have ready: defendant's full name, date of birth, jail location, charges, and bail amount.
- 02
Complete the Agreement
We meet you at our office or the jail. You'll sign the bail bond contract as the indemnitor and pay the 15% premium required by NC law.
- 03
We Post the Bond
Our agent posts the full bail amount at the jail on the defendant's behalf, guaranteeing they'll appear in court.
- 04
Release From Jail
Once the bond is posted, processing usually takes 2-8 hours. Pickup arrangements can be made through us if needed.
- 05
Court Appearances
The defendant must appear at every court date. We send reminders and support to keep things on track until the case concludes.
How much does a bail bond cost?
In North Carolina, the bail bond premium is set by state law at 15% of the total bail amount. This fee is non-refundable. For example, a $5,000 bail requires a $750 premium. We offer flexible payment plans for qualifying clients.
